Reebok Classics Celebrates The 50th Anniversary Of Hip Hop With The Club C And Classic Nylon

Celebrating its five-decade-long existence, Hip Hop has received its well-deserved shine throughout 2023. From artists like the Wu-Tang Clan and Nas teaming up for a stateside tour to Jay-Z receiving his own exhibit in the famed Brooklyn Library, Reebok too is joining in on the festivities with a collection of classic silhouettes that have simultaneously walked alongside the culture’s profound impact since the 80s.

Complimenting a range of apparel are four separate colorways that have been cast across both the Reebok Classic Nylon and the Reebok Club C. Cast in either “White” or “Pure Grey/Cloud Grey” the original tennis tooling extends a supple tumbled leather base layer with premium suede accents adorning the presiding overlays. In contrast, the Classic Nylon appears in either “Maroon” or “White” and remains anchored by its textile construction while additional suede treatments amplify the heel counter, mudguard and mid-foot. What’s more, both pairs are met with a soft terry cloth inner lining and custom gold foil tongue tabs denoting the genre’s 50th anniversary.

Highlighting the impact and contributions of Black and Brown individuals toward the music industry and genre, Reebok will also be making a $35,000 donation to the Oakland-based nonprofit, Hip Hop For Change.

The Reebok “50th Anniversary of Hip Hop” collection will be available on November 6th with each silhouette retailing for a price of $100. In the meantime, each colorway can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.
