First Look At The Nike KD 17 “Metro Boomin”

Decked out in discography-inspired callbacks.

First Look At The Nike KD 17 “Metro Boomin”

The pace of newly surfaced Nike KD 17 colorways is gaining steam. This latest design sits alongside other “Producer Pack” pairs with a nod to Metro Boomin, particularly his 2022 album “Heroes & Villains” and the “Hearts On Fire” merchandise that’s been released surrounding it. We’ve already seen the KD 17 wear makeup honoring Bink! and The Alchemist, and now this pair marries KD’s pastime with his signature shoes even further.

The shoes feature a stormy “Atomic Violet” and “Hyper Grape” print complete with lightning bolts at the base, overlaid by clear TPU structures that allow it to shine through in all its glory. A “Hearts On Fire” graphic appears on right heel opposite a purple “Leslie” signature on the left, an ode to the producer’s late mother who passed away in 2022. A nod to Metro’s 2018 album “Not All Heroes Wear Capes” concludes the shoe’s discography callbacks on the tongue with a jumping man graphic inside a clear circular button.

The Nike KD 17 “Metro Boomin” is set to release on June 14th for $160 alongside its two “Producer Pack” KD 17 counterparts. Until then, enjoy a first look below.
