It’s been a year full of anniversaries and milestones to this point. While the locus of that trend has been in Beaverton, adidas is hosting its own celebration for a seminal style. The adidas Ultra Boost turns 10 years old in 2025, an occasion certainly worth celebrating as one of the brand’s most defining modern designs steps into maturity. Its original black and blue colorway was the choice to hit the shelves anew for the decade mark, so unsurprisingly it’s on tap again as the Three Stripes makes an unexpected foray into the sneaker-turned-cleat waters.
The adidas Ultra Boost OG Cleat provides, at the least, an ironic inversion given the brand’s recent renaissance has come with the cleat-turned-lifestyle lane. The UltraBoost DNA 1.0 Dugout Cleats are essentially what they promise on the tin, grafting metallic studs underneath the molded layer of foam that brought the comfort-first silhouette to such heights in the first place. In addition to the original black/blue, the equally defining “Triple White” is on tap as well, perhaps less build for the rigors of the outfield but making up for that weakness with eye-catching flair.
The adidas Ultra Boost Cleats are available now via adidas.com in both colorways, retailing for $170. Select sizes have already sold out, so act quick using the direct shopping links included under “Where To Buy.” A wider retail launch is scheduled for June 1st.
