The path of turning unexpected models into Nike SB icons is well-tread already, bringing kicks like the Nike Air Trainer 1 and Air Jordan 4 into the sub-brand’s gravitational pull in recent years. As part of the overarching, year-long celebration of the silhouette, the Air Max 95 has marked perhaps the most shocking inductee, contrasting its elsewhere “Big Bubble” bring-back with a skate-focused initiative.
However wonky the fit may be at first glance, the Nike SB Air Max 95 project as a whole has been warmly received from a mere aesthetic standpoint, already hitting a sell-out in its “Cactus Flower” introduction. The impending debut of the Eric Koston Nike SB Air Max 95 is a step up by any measure, not least of which comes from tacking on one of the Swoosh’s most iconic skaters.
Though we’ve gotten to know the Michigan-approved navy and yellow colorway that’ll pace the shoe upon release, new in-hand shots reveal finer details that’ll accompany the shoe. Thai lettering on the toe, a translation of Nike, serves as a sentimental nod to Eric Koston’s heritage. “Koston” appears in the split patented Air Max lettering on the right tongue, and throwback neon Air Max branding defines the insole.
The Eric Koston x Nike SB Air Max 95 still holds onto a Holiday 2025 expected window, but still, no concrete data is available. Note, however, that these shots coming from a retail source likely indicate a drop is coming sooner than later. Catch all of those included below.
