Grand Collection And New Balance Team Up For Two Classy Numeric 770s

New Balance’s Numeric division continues to stake its claim in the skateboarding mainstream. Arguably one of their splashiest all-time moments came with the introduction of Andrew Reynolds’ 993, but it doesn’t take a skater co-sign for the Boston sub-brand to bring the heat. They already staked that with the re-introduction of the 770, stepping beyond its original cross-training bounds to take on life as a board shoe. On that same note of newness, now the silhouette welcomes a novel collaborator, as New York’s Grand Collection takes over.

First teased with an August runway show that utilized the shoe alongside their inline apparel offerings, the focus is clearly “beauty in simplicity.” While the layered composition of the 770 — typically sectioned into panels of TPU, leather, and suede — lends the model well to denser and more multi-color arrangements, Grand Collection reverses that entirely, coating the kicks in rich textured leather for all-black and all-white variations. Enhancing that atmosphere, the NY imprint goes rather understarted with their co-branding details; a cursive spell-out appears on the heel while an all-caps counterpart hits the tongue.

The Grand Collection x New Balance Numeric 770 releases first via grandcollectionco.com, that initial launch taking place on October 15th. A wider NewBalance.com drop isn’t confirmed but is expected. Concrete pricing info hasn’t emerged just yet, but keep this page and our Sneaker Release Dates hub to be the first to know once it does.
