If you think 2025 has been a big year for the Nike Air Rift, just wait ’til 2026. Kim Kardashian’s Nike SKIMS is set to release two styles next Spring — a move that will no doubt send her millions of followers into a frenzy and create plenty of noise across the industry.
For now, the Air Rift resurgence continues with yet another mold-breaking in-house style, the model here taking on brogue aesthetic comparable to formalwear. The upper is cut from “Light British Tan” leather, complete with serrations, studs, and two straps with metal buckles (as opposed to the model’s usual nylon strap).
The tabi-toe’d Nike Air Rift debuted in the mid-’90s and became an instant cult classic in Japan, although it never really caught on for performance purposes. It did, however, have a memorable run in the 2000s that saw collabs and standout styles not far off from what we’ve gotten in recent seasons. With the Y2K era remaining a key reference point, the Air Rift has had an eventful year consisting of snakeskin looks, ballet-inspired styles, fuzzy makeovers, and much more.
The brogue-style Nike Air Rift in “Light British Tan” has already begun surfacing overseas and will release through Nike during the Holiday 2025 shopping window. Women’s sizes will be available for $145 USD. See official retailer images below if you’re considering copping.
