Nike unveiled their retro of the 2005 Pegasus model last Fall, before pairs started hitting shelves this year. Today, we got our first look at a new metallic “Chrome” style, arriving this Summer.

Nike’s rehashed retro model of their Air Pegasus from 2005 finally arrived this season, after the silhouette was first introduced during their SNKRS Showcase event last Fall. The Pegasus franchise, now in its forty-first iteration as of 2024, has been a flagship series of performance running shoes for decades. This year’s 2k5 rerelease is one of their few that simply revives an older silhouette with no modifications, and already has a number of colors on the market, with more on the way. This week, we have an early look at a “Chrome” color for the runner, which pits the shoe in shades of grey mesh and leather and cream white laces and inner lining. The outer panels come with the metallic silver finish, while black accents balance out the palette.
