Nike is reviving their Field General sneaker from 1982 this year, returning another retro silhouette to their catalog. This week, a colorful new “Light Volt” edition has surfaced, and is expected for a Summer release.

Nike’s Field General is back this year, returning the 1982 turf trainer to the Swoosh’s catalog in its original format for the first time in nearly a decade. The model served as the inspiration behind the popular Tom Sachs GPS sneaker, as well as the base for an upcoming collaboration with Union. Several styles have already released, with more like the “Orange Blaze” arriving this week. Today, another style has joined the release calendar for Summer 2024, sporting the brand’s new “Light Volt” shade. this pale yellow tone covers the shoe’s nylon base and leather overlays, adding Bright Cactus blue for the Swooshes and heel tabs, while gum soles round out the look.
