Tom Ford To Show Fall 2016 Men’s Show At London Collections: Men

Tom Ford is set to hold his first menswear runway show during London Collections: Men in January.

The designer, who usually holds private appointments for the men’s collection, will officially close the fall ’16 men’s shows in London next season, with a date set for Jan. 11, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. No word on what the format will be.

The presentation will be Ford’s first menswear show since he was creative director at Gucci. In 2004, he left the luxury brand to found his own label.

Ford has been shaking things up this year. For his spring ’16 presentation, he forwent his typical runway show and unveiled the collection via a video on his website — starring Lady Gaga and shot by Nick Knight, no less. For his fall ’15 show, Ford presented a ready-to-wear show in Los Angeles, his first time showing there.

Given the label’s increased menswear presence, it will be interesting to see how Ford’s men’s footwear category grows. Currently, the shoes are available at retailers that include Bergdorf Goodman and Mr. Porter.

And Ford is also focusing on his directing career. Following up his 2009 film, “A Single Man,” he is currently shooting his second film, called “Nocturnal Animals,” which will be released in 2016 and stars Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal.
