The release of the Nike LeBron 8 ‘South Beach’ kicked off LeBron’s reign in Miami, depicting a tropical colorway that we all associate with the sunny beaches of the city. It served as a worthy prologue to one of the most controversial seasons in NBA history, and as the sun sets on LeBron’s first season in South Beach, Nike will release the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Low ‘Miami Night’ – a multicolored variety depicting a chaotic scene rife with fireworks and confetti. Unfortunately LeBron didn’t have much to celebrate at the end of his first season, as he and his Heat brethren were cooled off in six games by the Dallas Mavericks, but it was certainly a memorable first season nonetheless. Did Nike and LeBron James have any special plans for this unique colorway, given the festive design – possibly an Independence Day release for its red/white/blue colorway, or did they have another celebration in mind?
