Few teams in sports history have stricken fear like the Detroit Pistons Bad Boys did in the 1980s. They were irreverent, disrespectful, unsportsmanlike, and even violent, and we love ’em for those reasons. But they weren’t just brawlers, they were primarily ballers as they took home back-to-back NBA Championships in 1989 and 1990, bruising their way to the top while marking an era that is often referenced when pondering the rather “soft” nature of today’s game.

The Detroit Pistons and SNIPES have joined together once again to deliver yet another exclusive adidas Forum Hi honoring the franchise, this time honoring the collective Bad Boys alter ego in a colorway inspired by the vintage gear that was worn during their heyday. If you remember the black/white skull and crossbones with the orange basketball, you’d instantly recognize and appreciate the execution on this attractive high-top retro. Done in patent leather, this Forum Hi features the same ’89 and ’90 markings from the adidas Forum “313 Day” pair that dropped last month.

On April 24th, just 1,200 pairs of the Detroit Pistons x SNIPES x adidas Forum “Bad Boys” will release exclusively at select SNIPES locations in Michigan and on snipesusa.com, with a MSRP set at $110. SNIPES will also carry the revived Bad Boys apparel line, should you wish to match the threads with the kicks.
