Sapphire Blue Pigments Saturate The Latest Overdyed New Balance 1906R

Sapphire Blue Pigments Saturate The Latest Overdyed New Balance 1906R

Overdyeing is commonplace in clothing, having made waves throughout the past several years. But despite its popularity — and a few attempts from the likes of Vans as well as A-COLD-WALL x Nike — the process has not quite caught on in sneakers, though that could very well change for the better upon the rollout of New Balance’s “Overdyed” pack.

The New Balance 1906R is helping lead the charge for the upcoming collection, complementing yesterday’s 2002R with a “Sapphire Blue” colorway. Likely dipped multiple times in said cool tone, this pair features a unique wash through its suede and mesh panels, with the latter taking in much more of the dye. The laces, tongue, and lining, too, are dark in their finish, contrasting the softer blues of both the overlays atop as well as the outsole underfoot.

Enjoy a closer look at the New Balance 1906R “Sapphire Blue” via the official images ahead. A firm release date should be unveiled soon, so sit tight and stay tuned for further updates.

In unrelated news, a first look at the Air Jordan 13 Wolf Grey have surfaced.
