Classic “Black/Silver” Returns To The New Balance 990v4 Made In USA On October 3rd

Based on 1980s performance running sneaker design, the New Balance 990v4 is only seven years old. In that time frame, the modernized NB 990 has helped bridge the gap between savvy connoisseurs and mainstream consumers, ushering in newfound attention to the Boston-based brand.

The company’s Made in USA platform has undergone a rigid overhaul since Teddy Santis took over in April 2021, with silhouettes sparingly launching in new styles. As fall gets underway, the NB 990v4 has returned in a classic “Black/Silver” color scheme, a pair that first released in early 2017. Pigskin suede and mesh divvy up the sneaker’s top-half, with a pitch-dark tone claiming stake in most of the upper’s components. Profile “N” logos, upper eyelets, and reflective panels on the toe box and spine deviate in a shimmering grey, proudly nodding to New Balance heritage.
