The adidas AE1 “Best Of Adi” is releasing on March 1st, 2024 on adidas.com and adidas Basketball retailers. The shoes will be available in mens, grade school, and little kids sizing. This white/black colorway was initially dubbed the “Stormtrooper” colorway when a first look appeared several weeks ago, but adidas has since come forward with the official “Best Of Adi” nickname. Following a successful launch of the adidas AE1 in late 2023, hoops fans have been waiting to see what’s next for Anthony Edwards shoes with the German sportswear brand.

While many of the initial colorway concepts have been tied to his hometown in the Atlanta, GA area or to his Minnesota Timberwolves, we’re finally getting one that calls back to some history within the hoops division over at adidas. While not an official designation, the all white molded exterior and black interior reminds us of the iconic “Stormtrooper” colorway that started off with the iconic Superstar. That Star Wars-derived moniker was later applied to modern styles like the adidas Crazy 1 and Crazy IIIFINITY, so it’s only fitting that it’s applied here.

The only difference: there’s a hit of green on the adidas Performance logo at the heel as well as Anthony Edwards’s person logo on the tongue. Regardless of a “Stormtrooper” connection, this adidas AE1 should spark interest from the growing community of Ant-Man fans.

A release date is currently unknown, but the full bath of Anthony Edwards shoes are slated to drop this Spring and Summer 2024 season with an MSRP of $120.
