The Nike Cortez Are Chilly In “White/Glacier Blue”

The frigid take on the Cortez drops as a women's exclusive.

The Nike Cortez Are Chilly In “White/Glacier Blue”

As we get near the true dawn of Nike’s Spring 2024 slate, they’re holding onto winter for just a little while longer. The Nike Cortez “White/Glacier Blue” brings the colder months further into the year, draping the classic retro running sneaker in an ice cold configuration.

“Glacier Blue” has been used as a trademark Nike color for over a decade now, with a Vapormax Flyknit, Air Force 1 and Air Max 90 each carrying it just in the span of the past month. Crucially, this marks the first time it’s made its way to the Cortez.

Keeping in line with all three of those previous releases, the titular teal here plays a relatively peripheral role. It lines the upper half of the midsole, hits the tongue tab and is interwoven into white dominant laces. Despite that small presence, the effect is prominent, bringing in an icy atmosphere to a shoe that may have felt totally traditional otherwise.

The “White/Glacier Blue” Nike Cortez will be dropping in women’s sizing in the coming weeks. Expect a retail price of $90 if and when you come across them.

Should these not totally be your speed, take a look at two other recently unvieled editions with the “Black/White” Nike Cortez and their “Purple/White” counterparts.
