Donovan Mitchell Debuts adidas DON Issue 6 “Multi-Color” For 2024 Playoffs

Updated April 20th, 2024: Donovan Mitchell debuted the adidas D.O.N. Issue 6 ahead of Game 1 of the Orlando Magic/Cleveland Cavaliers Playoffs series.

Though there’s still plenty of time left for the life cycle of the adidas D.O.N. Issue #5 , our understanding of the next steps via adidas D.O.N. Issue #6 continues to come more and more into focus. With photos of two Cavs-centric colorways already publicly available, now we’re getting their first real unorthodox look as they take on “Multi-Color.”

Gradients play a massive part in the design of this pair, an orange to blue ombre sitting center on the mesh upper, then running in reverse on the midsole and on wavy piping above. It may not be an exact replication, but the playful deployment of vibrant primary colors at least runs parallel to the Nike KD 4 “Nerf”, the hits of neon green here only solidifying that comparison.

Initially shared by @overtimekicks, the next edition of the adidas D.O.N. Issue #6 was unveiled as part of a sneaker swap between Mitchell and his fellow adidas Basketball signee, with the adidas AE1 “Laser Blue” the Anthony Edwards shoes provided on his side of the equation.

Release information for the adidas D.O.N. Issue #6 “Multi-Color” is for now, very limited- not entirely surprising given the silhouette isn’t expected to release until next NBA season. For now, you can check out the rest of the initial photos below.
