The Nike ACG Rufus Arrives This Fall In Sequoia

Another earthy look drops later this year.

The Nike ACG Rufus Arrives This Fall In Sequoia

The Nike ACG Rufus was way before its time. It flew under the radar when it first dropped in 2001 but was looked upon fondly by ACG collectors with a penchant for forgotten shoes. Now that modern consumers have developed a taste for slip-on footwear like clogs, mules, and slides, the Rufus is arguably better suited for today’s sneaker market than the one it was born into over two decades ago.

With “Triple Black” and “Limestone” colorways already on the docket, Nike keeps the Rufus revival going with a new “Sequoia” pair slated for Fall 2024. The design abides by the model’s typical arrangement with a suede upper and beige midsole, framed by black tread below and leather at the foot’s entry point. While the shoe features all the same weatherproofing capabilities of other returning models like the ACG Exploraid and ACG Torre Mid, it’s probably best suited for lifestyle wear rather than demanding outdoor adventures. Even still, a rugged outsole prepares the Rufus for all kinds of terrain.
