Hello Kitty Takes Over The adidas Sambae

We saw the release of Hello Kitty Crocs earlier this year, and now the world-famous cartoon cat brings her likeness to the women’s-exclusive adidas Sambae; available now from Journeys for $115.

The Sambae saw its first release earlier this year and has quietly been one of the most internet-searched models of the year thus far, although plenty credit is due to its namesake, the adidas Samba. Not to be confused with Ronnie Fieg’s 8th Street Samba, the Sambae marries a traditional Samba upper with an oversized, chunky gum sole, comprising a platform version of the soccer turned lifestyle shoe.

The Hello Kitty pair comes with stitched graphics of the character on the base of the shoe, a detachable red bow lace dubrae, and light pink sole. All those thoughtful tie-ins are met with traditional white/black color blocking up top, although the Three Stripes are crafted from fabric as opposed to leather.
