The vault is wide open. The slate of 2025 Jordan Release Dates is looking unprecedentedly stacked, packed with retros of some of the most iconic drops in the brand’s (soon-to-be) 40 year history. An “LS” era classic is now joining the pack, with the Air Jordan 12 “Melo” re-emerging for the first time since its 2004 debut.

Though the success of Jordan Brand athletes by way of kicks like the Jordan Tatum 2 or Luka 3 is commonplace now, Carmelo Anthony was one of the first in that crowd. Midway through his rookie year, two celebrated PE styles received a public launch, the Air Jordan 2 (a shoe that actually bore the “LS” subtitle) and of course, the Air Jordan 12.

The overall foundation leans sleek & clean, a white base embellished with patent leather and silver peripheral details, leaving his Nuggets squad’s “University Blue” as the main attraction. Though it’s a shoe that’s been in the archives for decades at this point, there’s no denying the cult classic status Melo 12s have achieved in the time off, so this is sure to replicate if not exceed the success of the AJ2 retro back in 2018.

Fittingly given the color scheme, the Air Jordan 12 “Melo” is expected for a Summer 2025 release per @zsneakerheadz. We’ll keep this page updated as the release date nears closer, but for now, re-familiarize yourself via images of the ’04 drop just below.
