A new chapter begins.

The adidas x Fear Of God Athletics II Basketball “Night Brown” Is Launching This December

Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear Of God Athletics and adidas are ready to author the next chapter of their partnership with the all-new II Basketball; the first true performance model by the hands of the west coast streetwear maven.

Following a lengthy product development stage, Lorenzo unveiled two versions of the shoe on a Complex show in early October 2024. The model has since been worn by members of the newly-founded Fear Of God Athletics Overtime Elite team as well as Gabe Vincent of the Los Angeles Lakers, leaving little speculation as to whether or not the shoes are court-worthy.

To the uninitiated; the preceding I Basketball admittedly fell short of its intended performance capabilities and never found its way onto NBA hardwood. It did, however, gain traction as a lifestyle shoe among fans of Jerry Lorenzo’s established design language. The next Fear Of God basketball shoe speaks to the idea behind Lorenzo’s “ESSENTIALS” brand, emphasizing functionality while capturing the same aesthetic that’s made FOG a household name.

The “Night Brown” colorway comes as a sensible introductory look, saddled with a dark upper and light midsole. While full technical specifications haven’t been unveiled at the time of this writing, the shoe features a mesh base, sleek Three Stripes paneling, and warped radial tread underfoot. White and grey colorways have also been making rounds on social media, and as mentioned, Lorenzo previewed another version featuring a TPU cage in early October 2024. However, no details regarding that shoe have been floated just yet.

For all those interested in testing out a pair, the adidas x Fear Of God Athletics II Basketball “Night Brown” arrives December 2024. Know that this page as well as our Sneaker Release Dates hub will be kept current with all the latest images, tech specs, and pricing info over the coming weeks.
