Nike Plants TPU Cages On Three Staple Shoes For The Women’s “Sea Glass” Pack

As far as Nike’s readily accessible lifestyle models go, the Dunk, Cortez, and Air Force 1 are a pretty clear big three in the catalog. While that means you can waltz into local stockists and pick up some easily styled pairs, their inescapable status and sheer number of colorways means that Beaverton creatives have license to get wild with those silhouettes, perhaps more than any others in the roster. In tune with that, the women’s exclusive Nike “Sea Glass” pack brings an off-kilter overhaul to those three titan silhouettes.

The main draw is easily understood at first glance; new TPU cages surround each of the three shoes, weaving clear “Sea Glass” across the profiles of each shoe. The Cortez gets the lightest treatment of the group, but the Dunk Low and Air Force 1 are entirely overtaken by this novel hardware. While the new touch certainly makes a strong impression, do note that the TPU addendums are indeed removable, literally screwing into the body of each shoe with pearlescent bubble fasteners.

Outside of that main attraction, the “Sea Glass” palettes on display present pretty staid palettes of off-white and platinum white, with the one divergence coming via reflective, pronounced Swooshes across each mid-panel. Taken as a whole, the understated color choices here allow the experimental touch to speak for itself.

Look for each pair in the Nike “Sea Glass” pack (Dunk, Cortez, Air Force 1) to be released in time for Spring 2025. Retail is unknown, but expect a slight price hike compared to your typical mainline pairs.
