The Jordan MVP Does Its Best “Mist Blue” Impression

Fusing elements from the models worn during Michael Jordan’s first championship three-peat, the hybrid Jordan MVP 678 is continuing to surface in colorways reminiscent of memorable Air Jordans from the past. This Spring 2025 release takes after the “Mist Blue” Jordan 4 from 2006 with a familiar combination of grey and “University Blue,” set to roll out via nike.com and retailers in the very near future.

While lacking in golden yellow accents, the design vaugely nods to the post-retirement AJ4 with a grey leather upper and “University Blue” hits on the midsole and branded elements. The Jordan MVP gets slandered as “Frankenstein” model and is often the butt of jokes by Jordan purists, but it’s still managed to earn a pretty decently sized following; one large enough to justify an ample variety of new and upcoming colorways.

The “Grey/University Blue” Jordan MVP retails for $165 and will crop up on nike.com and retailer partner sites during the Spring 2025 shopping season. See official images below and keep our Jordan Release Dates page bookmarked as we continue to unpack what the Jumpman has in store for 2025.
