Updated April 17th, 2025: Despite initial reports that the Nike Air Max 95 “Neon” would see another wide release via SNKRS on April 18th, there’s currently no indications that release is taking place. At the time of this writing, we don’t have further info on when/if that launch should be expected, but we’ll keep this page and all of our coverage updated with the latest info as it comes.
You might be wondering: Is the big bubble and all the talk around the Nike Air Max 95 OG that big of a deal? The short answer is YES.
The Air Max 95 is one shoe that the sneaker community will unequivocally agree on in regards to the original being better. This iconic model took a turn for the worse in 2005 when Nike chose to replace the Air unit with one that was less prone to pops and deflation. The intentions were good, but the trade-off for a much smaller, deformed midsole bubble was simply not worth it.
Despite how often Nike has brought back the OG Neon colorway over the years, they never truly got it right. The 2025 version might be its closest to the 1995 version, and it’s not just about the Air unit either.
The construction of the upper, the materials, the quality — all of it is amounting to perhaps the best-ever Retro in Nike history. It’ll be years before we can say if the 2025 is even better than the 1995, nor are we reckless enough to make that claim, but these look GOOD.

A Full List Of What’s Different
1. The obvious: the Air unit is restored back to its original volume with the horizontal seam. From 2005-2024, the Air unit on the 95 was so small that it would not even jut out on the rear. The 2025 version fixed that with a much more substantial unit.
2. The T-toe has been fixed with better quality and a more accurate shape.
3. The “Volt” on the 2025 version is a bit more of green, whereas the 2020 version has a yellowish hue.
4. The gradient on upper is a bit more flush layer over layer, creating a smoother shape.
