Nike Dials Up The Contrast On The Vomero 5 “Lemon Venom”

The Nike Vomero 5 is a prime example of how an athletic shoe can age gracefully as a lifestyle option. Originally introduced in 2011 as a long-distance runner under the “Bowerman Series,” the model is now among the likes of the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14, New Balance 1906, and other trending competitors called upon for daily wear.

While versatile, contemporary Vomero 5 styles have been revisited at length in recent seasons, this “Lemon Venom” colorway is anything but. The attention-grabbing titular hue appears notably on the mesh base and Cushlon portion of the midsole, creating stark contrast in tandem with bordering black treatments. As if that pairing isn’t lively enough, shimmery “Metallic Silver” enters the fray on the quarter overlays, Swoosh border, and top portion of the midsole. Moreover, while not visible, the Vomero 5 also delivers on comfort with Zoom Air cushioning suitable for full day excursions.

The Nike Vomero 5 “Lemon Venom/Black” is expected to release via nike.com and retailers soon for $160; scroll through the official image gallery below if you’re considering scooping a pair.
