The Nike A’One “Ghost” Tips Off On May 15th

The era of the Nike A’One is almost upon us, with the release of the inaugural “Pink Aura” just days away at the time of writing. A launch that’s more than a year in the making, both with the “Of Course She Has A Shoe” campaign and a footwear country tour that brought A’ja Wilson to a host of significant US locales, Nike clearly isn’t letting go of the rope after that debut look. Almost a half dozen colorways have already hit the ‘net before the shoe even hits the general public, including the Nike A’One “Ghost” that’s just been officially revealed.

With Wilson citing pearls as a major design inspiration in crafting the Nike A’One, a resplendent all-white like the one at hand was truly just a formality. Chromed-out branding notes with the Sowosh and A’jas logo on the tongue stamp that luxurious appeal loud and proud, with the wavy mesh layout on the upper hitting a smattering of neutral tones you might expect from a real-life specimen.

Already well-regarded and highly-anticipated, these A’ja Wilson shoes comes an opportune time for the Swoosh, releasing after a few years of supposedly referential designs that commenters often derided for relying too much on already-established shoes like the Kobe line. In contrast, the Ben Nethongkome design featured here is entirely its own, something that becomes increasingly clear as more colorways trickle out.

As mentioned in our title, the Nike A’One “Ghost” releases on May 15th, likely coming via Nike.com. Partnering retailers like Foot Locker and JD Sports will also be hosting their own launches. Regardless of what channel you pursue this pair through, retail remains at $110 in adult sizing and $90 for Grade School.
