After a slow build throughout Spring 2025, adidas Originals is finally ready to bring the adiZero Goukana to market. The thick-soled lifestyle runner has been circulating in its debut bright yellow colorway, spotted on the feet of two-way stud Travis Hunter back in February while also having a moment at Los Angeles Fashion Week back in March.
With the table now set, the adiZero Goukana, which was designed by the brand’s LA-based creative team, is ready to hit the shelves; adidas has partnered with none other than UNDEFEATED to drop the new model on May 10th. They’ll be available at all UNDEFEATED chapter stores as well as on their online store. A wider launch is expected in June.
Designed by adidas Originals’ LA-based creative team, the Goukana is said to be inspiration from the city’s energy and diversity. Basically, it’s a trend-focused reinterpretation of the original Adizero Adios of 2008 with a chunk-ified sole that draws from the original lines of the brand’s game-changing race shoe. This launch colorway is seemingly a nod to the debut bright yellow colorway of the Adizero worn by Haile Gebrselassie, who at the time set a world record at the 2008 Berlin Marathon.
