After a creative teaser that connected the dots between their current state and their earliest beginnings, South Korea’s Worksout is ready to roll with their highly anticipated debut collaboration with Nike and the Air Max 95 OG.
Today, Sneaker News brings you an exclusive look at the upcoming release; this re-imagination of the cherished Air Max 95 is simply the boldest we’ve ever seen with the silhouette as the upper gradient and toe design has been completely modified for a more streamlined aesthetic. Worksout aimed for a sleeker look, removing the elements that gave the 95 its bulk. The construction of the gradient layer has been stripped, replaced with curved lines to maintain the original vibe of the 95, while the model’s altered toe design was intended to give the shoe a longer appearance.

Another signature element of the Air Max 95 is the lace-loop eyelets that protrude beyond the sport mesh; that has been replaced with a unique lacing system that locks in the strings with a thick cord that surrounds the tongue collar. The heel “vertebrae” design is also transformed as it expands to the medial side with curvier lines that extend from the original gradient upper.
The olive colorway is a direct nod to the high-school forms worn by the five co-founders of Worksout; the group first met back in 1999; it was there the seeds of Southfoot were born. It eventually evolved into Worksout, which today is one of the nation’s most influential retailers.
This Worksout x Nike Air Max 95 is set to drop in late May in extremely limited quantity. Only 3,000 pairs of this collaboration will be available to the public in the olive colorway, dropping only at a list of hand-selected retailers chosen by the Worksout team (see below).
