With all core colorways and projects by Joe Freshgoods and KITH already checked off, the New Balance 992 is continuing its run with more styles by Made In USA Creative Director Teddy Santis. One of four 992s in the brand’s SS25 Made In USA collection is this “Sweet Caramel/Calcium” colorway releasing in May.
If you were locked in on New Balance during the 992’s last stint on shelves, you’re bound to recognize the resemblance to the Packer x New Balance 992 from 2020. Lending a comparable aesthetic, Teddy’s pair comes with “Sweet Caramel” suede overlays atop a lighter “Calcium” base. The underlays appear to be cut from suede as opposed to their usual leather, and the tongue features a new, open mesh fabric.
Importantly, the retailer images attached below show a smaller size and therefore smaller New Balance logos. All New Balance 992s size 8.5 and below feature scaled-down “N” logos, while sizes 9 and larger feature larger branding (see our core New Balance 992 coverage for reference).
The New Balance 992 “Sweet Caramel/Calcium” has already begun cropping up at retailers, meaning a newbalance.com release is right around the corner. New Balance has an additional “Calcium” 992 releasing in May as well, but it remains to be seen whether they’ll land on the same date. We’ll update this article with more info as soon as we learn more.
