Andrew Rizzo After debuting by way of a Bricks & Wood collaboration during NBA All-Star Weekend, the New Balance Fresh Foam BB v3 is finally ready to begin its earnest rollout. Several general release colorways are expected to release during the Summer/Fall 2025 window, starting with these “Light Grey” and “White/Blue” makeups.
Although it leans on the same tenets of comfort and support, the Fresh Foam BB v3 differs greatly from its predecessor. To start, the topographic midsole is gone and replaced by a new structure featuring a midfoot plate. The upper comes with rounded synthetic overlays, and a tactile oval pattern is utilized across the upper and midsole. Underfoot, the sneaker comes with a new, segmented outsole featuring wavy tread.
In kicking off the Fresh Foam BB v3 era, New Balance is tapping into its “dad shoe” DNA with a vintage-inspired “Light Grey” colorway. Coming from the same school as a Fresh Foam BB v2 style released in 2024, white leather can be seen peeking through the upper’s rounded windows. Stitched text reading New Balance’s “The Intelligent Choice” slogan appears on the tongue, complemented by cream-colored laces for that pre-aged touch.
The “White/Blue” Fresh Foam BB v3 is probably a more accurate representation of what future releases will look like. Synthetic material is utilized across pretty much the entire upper, balancing between white and soft blue tones. The new midfoot plate catches the eye with a darker blue, while icy soles round out the delivery underfoot.
The New Balance Fresh Foam BB v3 doesn’t have a firm release date or MSRP yet, but a Summer/Fall 2025 arrival for around $120-$140 seems likely. We’ll update this article as soon as we learn more.
