Hiroshi Fujiwara is currently roaming the streets of New York City, battling the humidity and high temps with some heat of his own. Often regarded as the godfather of streetwear in Japan, the fragment design founder was spotted wearing the upcoming collaboration with Union Los Angeles-one of three Air Jordan 1s expected to launch in 2026.
This third iteration follows Chris Gibbs’ epic concept of combining two original Air Jordan 1 colorways into one. This formulaic approach is elevated by a pre-aged treatment on the leather, with oxidation, natural yellowing, and worn-in leathers teaming up with exposed stitching and sponge interiors.
This combination pairs the “Royal” from 1985 as the bottom base, with royal blue toe-boxes, Swoosh logos, and heel overlays joined by black leather. The upper half appears to mirror the white/navy colorway, with extra-hairy suedes adding to that decades old aesthetic.
Currently, a release is tentatively expected for Spring 2026. No official announcement have been made outside of Chris Gibbs confirming the project with Sneaker News in our exclusive interview earlier this year.
