After an initial, limited launch ComplexCon 2024, Nike has just officially announced launch details for the Air Max 1000 in both “Oat” and black. The “Oat” will drop via a 10-minute SNKRS draw on August 19th at 1 PM EST. Its black counterpart is expected to be exclusive to zellerfeld.com, dropping just 300 units via their webstore that same day at 3:30 PM EST. A $179 sticker price is expected for both pairs. Scroll further for official images of the two styles and a breakdown of what makes this release noteworthy.
Zellerfeld has reached out to Sneaker News regarding the black colorway. Although Nike’s official statement confirmed 300 pairs, Zellerfeld says “That number isn’t accurate and we can’t disclose any specific quantity for this launch but it is limited.”

3D-printed sneakers are a well-represented concept throughout the industry, be it with adidas’ Climacool or PUMA’s work with A$AP Rocky. However, in typical fashion, Nike’s contribution managed to truly cut through the noise. Spinning off of the construction of the Air Max 1 and linking up with leading 3D-printed footwear outfit Zellerfeld is exactly how to do so, garnering a ton of discussion and social media fervor as the Air Max 1000 hit the public at ComplexCon. Since that November 2024 debut, the excitment for this futuristic Visible Air sneaker has remained high, and given the limited nature of this public launch, it likely will remain so throughout the year.
