Look no further than the hype surrounding the Chanel Vans; the rapid rise of indie fashion and 2010s Tumblr aesthetics presents a huge opportunity for the Los Angeles skate/surf brand. With SZA now on board as creative director, Vans is keeping its momentum going with more strong projects by its OTW banner, including a “New Future” Old Skool collection and S.R. Studio collabs on old and all-new silhouettes. This latest OTW delivery is more tame by comparison, but still more than compelling.
Here we have a “Croc Pack” featuring two of Vans’ most iconic skate shoes; the Era and Half Cab. Two Era colorways are included, starting with a premium version of the model’s original blue and red arrangement. Blue croc skin patent leather appears on the toe, tongue, and heel, while what looks like waxed red canvas lives underneath. The other Vans Era comes with an all-black upper, with both looks aligning with off-white on the lining and midsole. The Half Cab, meanwhile, lends a more sophisticated feel in brown. Yellow hits on the Half Cab logo, upper eyelet, and welting add some intrigue, while an off-white midsole rounds out the design underfoot. As for what can’t be seen in the images below; all three “Croc Pack” sneakers feature ultra-durable Vibram soles.
The Vans “Croc Pack” is available now via CNCPTS and looks poised to hit EU retailers in September (Asphaltgold has these marked for September 3rd). See official retailer images below if you’re considering scooping.
