Could mismatched shoes be the latest look? That’s what Eudon Choi suggested for its spring ’16 show, which was presented on the first day of London Fashion Week.
For his latest collection, the designer showed strappy sandals, white leather lace-up boots and black leather Chelsea boots. Some looks had the two different boot styles paired together, as though the franticness backstage hadn’t left enough time to find correct matchings.
Strangely enough, though: when styled with the clean-cut shapes and muted colors of the clothes, the mismatched shoes didn’t appear so outlandish. In fact, the two-toned shoe styling actually worked here, as it added a bit of off-kilter dimension to the collection’s overall subtleness.
So will we be seeing people on the street wearing their two favorite shoes on each feet? Perhaps not, but imagine the easiness of never having to decide between two shoes again (the struggle is real).
