Seriously Expensive Yeezy Kicks Dominate eBay Listings
Sneakerheads will pay almost anything to get the most rare, exclusive sneakers they can find, and eBay sellers are taking full advantage of that – specifically with Yeezys.
As of today, three Yeezy shoes are among the top five highest priced shoes listed on the consignment website. Although the Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 and two colorways of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 are the latest Kanye West sneaker releases, the highest asking prices for his shoes are from his previous work with Nike.
A pair of shoes listed as the “Nike Air Yeezy 1 Grammy Prototype” is listed with an asking price of $75,000. In the listing, the seller, theheatcheck-com, writes in the listing that the shoe is a one-of-one size 12, worn by West during his 2008 Grammy performance, and comes with a custom wooden shoebox.

The next most expensive Yeezy is the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October, listed by newyorkcompany with “Buy It Now” asking prices of $19,999 to $49,999, depending on the size of the shoe.
For $34,999, a set of three pairs of Nike Air Yeezy 1 can be picked up, sold by kaili_001. The listing is for three pairs, brand new in the original box, in size 12. The set is of all three original Yeezy releases, including the black and pink, tan, and charcoal gray colorways.
Although many would figure the $75,000 asking price for a shoe would be the highest on eBay, but it’s not. A listing with the title “The Best Shoes in the World” has an asking price of $100,000, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. The seller, noble_champion, said in the item description that the worn out size 9.5 shoes are the only pair they have owned since 2010 and have been with the seller through homelessness, suicide attempts and being hit by a truck while on a bicycle.
The fifth most expensive pair eBay is a pair of the Nike Dunk Low L.A. DJ AM sneakers in a size 11.5. The asking price is $30,000.
