Amazon Fashion has tapped blogger/designer/model Chiara Ferragni as the face of its European spring ’16 advertising and social media campaign.
Ferragni shot the campaign earlier this year in Amazon’s new Fashion Photography Studio in Shoreditch, East London, with photographer Cass Bird. The shoot was art-directed by i-D Magazine Fashion Editor Julia Sarr-Jamoism, with Ferragni modeling outfits from brands including Gestuz, Selected Femme, Tommy Hilfiger and Keepsake. All of the items worn by her in the shots will be available for purchase starting March 8.
While the campaign only debuted today, Ferragni teased news of the partnership on Instagram last week, posting a picture of herself in the Amazon offices with one of her campaign ads.
Clearly, Ferragni lives in an alternate universe where there are more than 24 hours in the day. In addition to repping Amazon, she’s also the global ambassador for Pantene, continues to oversee her massively popular blog, The Blonde Salad, and last week presented her latest footwear collection in Milan.
The fall ’16 line consisted of go-go boots, platforms and sneakers that merged the spirit of the West with glam rock.
Ferragni told FN’s Mosha Lundström Halbert at the presentation: “It was about time that I designed something more cowboy. I love the idea of desert road trips, and I’ve always worn cowboy pants and shirts. I had cowboy boots, but nothing quite like this.”
