Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham seemed to have his own idea about how to participate in the NFL‘s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign during his team’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
The campaign was run during the league’s Week 13 games and encouraged players to wear custom cleats that bring attention to charitable causes they’re passionate about. The cleats will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to those causes. While players wore pairs benefitting causes including National Alliance for Mental Health, Prevent Child Abuse America and the American Cancer Society, Green-Beckham seemed to have a sarcastic take on the effort.
Check out all of the custom cleats players will be wearing around the league today!

He wore a pair of Yeezy cleats, which he told NJ.com reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks were benefitting the “Yeezy Foundation.”

There is no such thing as the “Yeezy Foundation,” but Green-Beckham could perhaps be supporting (or poking fun) at headlines surrounding Kanye West, who was recently hospitalized for reported exhaustion and canceled the rest of his Saint Pablo tour dates.
The NFL has not responded to Green-Beckham’s choice of footwear, but this season, the league has fined DeAndre Hopkins $6,000 for wearing a pair of Yeezy cleats, and there could be potential consequences for taking advantage of a week in which the NFL was allowing custom cleats for good causes. Stay tuned.
