Although running and court looks have grown in popularity, sneakerheads still clamor for a stellar basketball release. To satisfy the basketball silhouette fanatic, Nike is releasing several styles commemorating several eras in the sport.
For December, the athletic standout will drop “12 Soles: Past, Present and Future of Basketball,” consisting of a dozen of its most coveted looks. According to Nike, the sneakers within the 12 Soles Collection will be available starting Saturday.
According to the brand, the line of shoes will celebrate its wide-ranging impact on basketball through silhouettes that defines the past, present and future of the sport. The selections, Nike explained, have “sparked the imagination of athletes, artists, designers, musicians, skateboarders and many more.”
The looks offered in the 12 Soles Collection include the Air Jordan 9 Retro, the Air Max2 Uptempo, the Air Jordan 11 retro, the Air Foamposite Pro, the Air Jordan 16 Retro, the Kobe 11 “Ghost of Christmas Past,” the Zoom KD 9 “The Sauce,” the Kyrie 2 “What The,” the SF AF-1, the women’s Air Force 1 Ultraforce Mid and the Air Jordan XXXI.
The collection will also feature a yet-to-be-unveiled “Mystery Drop.”
