The yearlong Adidas Consortium Tour is coming to a close soon, but not before Sweden’s Sneakersnstuff sneaks in with a first for the globetrotting collection.
The new twist on the Adidas Consortium Tour: a performance basketball sneaker, as Sneakersnstuff takes on the D Rose 7 Primeknit. Thus far, the Consortium Tour has focused primarily on Adidas Originals lifestyle and archive sneakers such as Nice Kicks’ NMD PK and Mita Sneakers’ Seeulater, but it’s about to make its way to the hardwood — literally.
To mark the launch, Sneakersnstuff is traveling to New York tonight to attend the New York Knicks‘ home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. ET, and the unveiling will be streamed on @sneakersnstuff’s Instagram story.
As for the sneakers themselves, the Sneakersnstuff x Adidas D Rose 7 Primeknit is priced at $179 and dons a gray-based knit upper with hits of yellow and blue throughout. The colors were chosen as a reference to a previous Sneakersnstuff x Adidas collab and are also significant for being the colors worn by Rose’s high school hoops team. Down low, Adidas’ beloved Boost tooling adds responsive cushion.
