Thanks to Under Armour, fans of Stephen Curry will have lighter wallets throughout 2016 (and into 2017).
During the brand’s spring ’17 preview in New York City on Thursday, Under Armour confirmed that 10 colorways of the NBA star’s latest signature shoe, the Curry 3, will release in 2016. The athletic label said there will be more colorways of the shoe released in 2017, as well as a low-cut iteration of the look.
Eight of the upcoming Curry 3 colorways can be seen on Under Armour’s website, ua.com, with their respective release dates. The “Dub Nation Heritage” and the “SC Camo” are in stores now, with a retail price of $140. Next up is the “Grey Matter,” which arrives in stores on Nov. 12.
Under Armour officially unveiled the Curry 3 on Oct. 21. The shoe features new technologies from the brand, including its latest fabric technology, Threadborne, which UA said was created after examining the weave construction of a paracord from a parachute. The sneaker also features Under Armour’s Meta-Wing technology, which lines the heel to support the subtalor joint to assist with balance, pivoting and shock absorption.
