Sneakerheads were truly in their element at the 2016 BET Experience’s Sneaker Con, dubbed the “greatest sneaker show on Earth.”
The two-day event kicked off on Saturday in downtown Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It is among several cursory programs, concerts, exhibitions and panels that support the BET Awards, which airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on the cable network.

Sneaker Con attracted visitors keen on buying and selling rare kicks, as well as vendors that specialize in customization and footwear accessories.
Street Kix owner Jordan Hexem, 15, presented an item that he said was few and far between — a sample pair of unreleased Yeezy 1050s that he’s selling for $1,500.
“I am one of the only people in the world that owns a pair,” he added on Instagram.
