Ashanti Hits a High Note in Denim Dolce & Gabbana Boots For National Anthem Performance at the World Series
Ashanti was tapped to perform the national anthem before Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday. Hitting the field at Yankee Stadium in New York City, she not only showcased her impressive pipes but also her flair for fashion.
The “Rock Wit U” hitmaker wore a blue faux chinchilla fur coat by Adrienne Landau with a cropped cut over a navy Yankees T-shirt that she tucked into acid-wash skinny jeans with elastic ankle cuffs. On foot, she continued the denim theme with denim ankle boots featuring a patchwork design.
The pointed-toe style courtesy of Dolce & Gabbana also boasted intentional distressing and stitching, a pocket on one side, and a removable crystal buckle belt. A skinny stiletto measuring over 4 inches high and a DG logo appliqué at the heel completed the look.

The square bejeweled buckle at the ankle complemented her blinged-out microphone. Speaking of sparkle, Ashanti accessorized with a diamond heart necklace and dangling earrings that sparkled against her raven mane.

The “Foolish” singer also took to Instagram last night to share some snaps of herself in the same boots paired with a matching patchwork denim mini dress featuring a DG belt. She capped things off with a Yankees baseball hat.
Throughout her career, which popped off in the early 2000s, Ashanti has consistently proven herself to be a fan of glamorous looks featuring glitter and crystal embellishments. Performing on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in 2002, she donned another head-to-toe denim look with strappy sandals.
