Bad Bunny surprised fans when he performed in disguise inside an NYC subway station with Jimmy Fallon on Jan. 13.
The Puerto Rican rapper, who released his new album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” on Jan. 5, left his Adidas at home for the performance disguising himself as an old school Salsa singer to throw off passerby at the station.
As part of a well-known segment on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the musician was joined by the late-night host, who was also wearing a long curly wig, sunglasses and a fake beard. As the crowds gathered around them, the pair sang covers of songs like “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys before revealing their identity as fans cheered them on. They then put on a performance, singing some of the superstar’s new music. Footage of the special moment was shared on social media by those in attendance.

While fans already suspected that he would be at the station, Bad Bunny attempted to hide his identity and wore loose fitting trousers, a vest and a form-fitting white turtleneck with a gold chain around his neck. He wore a long beard and a curly, orange wig and paired his look with pointed-toed leather dress shoes, which is a departure for him since he is usually spotted wearing his sneaker collaborations with Adidas.

Fallon, who is usually in a suit, wore a casual ensemble with a brown shirt, a bandana wrapped around his forehead and a pair of white, red and black Saint Laurent SL24 High Top Sneaker, a peculiar choice for the disguise.
Last week, Fallon shared on Instagram that he would be co-hosting the “Tonight Show” alongside Bad Bunny on Jan. 13 so the segment will likely be shown during the show. On Monday, the rapper also shared via Instagram that in leu of a world tour, he will be doing a residency in his native Puerto Rico to celebrate his new album.
“Debí Tirar Más Fotos” serves as a love letter with coming home anthems from Bad Bunny to the island after he spent some time away touring and promoting his previous works.
Bad Bunny’s co-hosting gig on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” will air live on Monday on NBC at 11:35 p.m. ET.
