Brie Larson channeled the classic midcentury glamour of her “Lessons in Chemistry” character for a SAG-AFTRA Foundation event on Aug. 12 focused on the Apple TV+ show. Dressed in a Versace outfit, Larson complemented a light pink collared shirt and skirt with a pair of purple metallic pumps from Christian Louboutin.
Larson looked sharp in Versace’s tweed A-line skirt which weaves together cotton tweed and lurex threading; retailing for $1,475, the skirt also features organza lining. The classic piece was paired with a pinstripe button-down in the same almost-white shade of baby pink. Both skirt and top were affixed with the luxury brand’s silver Medusa head logo, adding a bit of shine to the ensemble.
Larson brightened up the look even further with a pair of heels from another European brand, Christian Louboutin. The Minny 70 mm metallic leather pumps feature a chunky block heel and a square toe in addition to the brand’s signature red sole. The metallic purple hue caught the light and appeared pink in certain settings, complementing Larson’s Versace outfit. Made of Specchio leather, the shoes retail for $945.
Other stars to have stepped out in metallic Louboutins include Taylor Swift, who wore a green pair to the Golden Globes in February of this year; and Melissa Barrera, who wore a silver pair to the premiere of “Abigail” in April.
Larson previously stepped out in pointed-toe mules to discuss “Lessons in Chemistry” in June. She also wore flat sandals with delicate straps when she attended Filming Italy that same month. Also in June, she went in the opposite direction for the Max Mara resort show, standing tall in a pair of strappy sandals with a soaring block heel.
