Carrie Underwood had to deal with technical difficulties on Monday. The “American Idol” winner sang “America the Beautiful” at the swearing-in ceremony for Donald Trump. The music that was prepared did not work due to technical difficulties. Instead, the performer was asked to perform a capella. She did so wearing a mockneck draped grey dress and a pair of matching heels.

The heels were a pointed-toe silhouette by Ingiliz. They were also a D’orsay style pump meaning that the upper is divided into two different halves; the back of the foot and the toe of the foot are all covered. In addition, the the middle of the foot is completely exposed, highlighting its flattering curves.

The shoes also have a T-strap detail. This comes from the vamp of the toe-box and goes up to the ankle strap. On the ankle strap, there is also a buckle.

Underwood recently performed for New Year’s Eve celebrations. For that, she wore a pair of embellished cowboy boots.

Underwood is not the only attendee to Trump’s inauguration events in a d’orsay style shoe. Lara Trump opted for a half d’orsay style pump. When attending the mass event, she wore the Christian Louboutin Iriza heel in black patent leather. That shoe is a half d’orsay style. That silhouette includes an outer half like a typical pump covering the entire foot. On the inside, the inside is in two halves with a portion of the foot exposed.

In addition, Usha Vance and Melania Trump both wore Manolo Blahnik styled. While they were not d’orsay silhouettes, they were eye-catching. Vance wore tan suede knee-high Manolo Blahnik boots. Trump chose Manolo Blahnik BB pumps, a style she often returns to.
