Charlize Theron Embraces the Socks and Heels Trend in Dior Shoes at THR’s Beauty Dinner

Charlize Theron attended a beauty dinner hosted by The Hollywood Reporter, presented by Instagram and sponsored by Upneeq, held in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The event was held to honor the Top Glam Squads in Hollywood and coincided with The Hollywood Reporter’s 2023 Beauty Issue, which was also released on Wednesday.
Embracing the heels and socks trend, the “Monster” actress sported a pair of Dior heels from the brand’s fall 2023 ready-to-wear presentation. Cast in shades of black and gray, the footwear featured glossy patent leather uppers that transitioned into triangular toes.
Theron’s heels also included thick and sturdy straps that wrapped around her ankles and through buckle closures, securing the style in place. 1 to 2-inch curved block heels rounded out the designer set.

Theron accompanied her heels with a sheer black blouse layered overtop a lace bra accompanied by a glossy black patent leather skirt featuring see-through accents and ample pockets.
For footwear, Theron usually goes sharp. The “Mad Max” star regularly slips on pointed-toe and slingback pumps by Dior, Christian Louboutin, Gianvito Rossi and more top brands for the red carpet — as well as unexpected choices like studded Givenchy oxfords. When off-duty, Theron regularly wears leather boots, slides and crisp sneakers by Saint Laurent, Prada, Adidas and Isabel Marant. Her casual rotation also features numerous Birkenstocks; in addition to the classic Arizona style, Theron regularly wears the brand’s collaborative pairs with Rick Owens and Proenza Schouler as well.
The actress is a mainstay in the fashion sphere, having been the face of Dior’s J’Adore fragrance since 1999 and starring in campaigns for Breitling.
Beyond Theron, other notable attendees at the event included Ashley Park, Cassie, Janelle Monáe, Kelly Rowland, Normani and Shay Mitchell. Each star gave equal amounts of glamour and sophistication, dressed primarily in neutrals.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner honored the top glam squads — including makeup, hair and nail artists — with Instagram at Holloway House. The occasion, which was sponsored by eye drop brand Upneeq, featured guests including Charlize Theron, Janelle Monae, Kelly Rowland and Shay Mitchell, among others.
