Deborah Cox made a shimmering arrival at the opening night of “The Wiz” on Broadway on April 17 in a pair of glistening pumps at the Marquis Theatre in New York City.
The singer, who portrays Glinda the Good Witch in the show, has been showing off her footwear arsenal as of late. She stopped by CBS Mornings with her co-star Wayne Brady in a pair of towering platforms yesterday. While attending The Blooms 2024 Gala on April 9, she stepped into a pair of pointy pumps to complete her look. Cox also shared some exclusive behind-the-scenes footage on her Instagram, where she is seen kicking back in chunky boots.
The opening of the hit revival of “The Wiz” was attended by many stars. Among those in attendance were renowned rappers Common and MC Lyte, the engaging pair of Ben Platt and Noah Galvin, Broadway legends Ben Vereen and LaChanze, daytime divas Sunny Hostin, Tamron Hall, and Sherri Shepherd, and two former Dorothys — Shanice Williams (from NBC’s The Wiz Live) and Stephanie Mills, “The Wiz’s” first Dorothy, who graced the event alongside fellow original cast members André De Shields, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Ken Page.
