FKA Twigs selected a feathery Wales Bonner dress and sparkling Manolo Blahnik mules for the 2025 Met Gala.
FKA Twigs served 1920s flapper energy with a V-neck dress featuring crystal trim and a scallop pattern also adorned with crystals. The fitted dress flowed into a darker-hued swishy feather skirt that fell just past the knees. This aesthetic was maintained with a slender cream-colored scarf adorned with voluminous feathers at each end. Her look also included sparkling jewelry from Fred Leighton and Kwiate.
FKA Twigs’ Wales Bonner dress was matched to mules from Manolo Blahnik, specifically the brand’s Lurum style. She showcased a chocolate brown version of the satin shoe, which features a strap across the foot with an ornate crystal design reminiscent of a laurel branch. Crystals also adorn the vamp, which narrows into a pointed toe. A stiletto heel elevated the dazzling style.

The 2025 Met Gala is unfolding on May 5, the first Monday in May, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which examines Black dandyism. Celebrity co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky and Lewis Hamilton; LeBron James is an honorary co-chair. This year, the philanthropic event raised $71 million for the Costume Institute, a record-breaking number for the Met Gala.
