Getty’s latest looks include various styles of leather footwear. Last week, she attended the Save Venice ball wearing a pair dressed in nude and completed with a pointed-toe. She wore pastel yellow knee-high boots to the Art Production Fund x Saks gala last month. When sitting front row at Versace’s fall 2024 show on Feb. 23, she slipped into a pair of white ballet flats.

About the Shoes

For this look, Getty stepped into a pair of green kitten heels. The silhouette featured a snakeskin upper accompanied by a crystal-embellished strap that sat just before the pointed toe. The back of the silhouette was hidden from view, but she was most likely supported by a stiletto heel about 2 inches tall.

Kitten Heels

Kitten heels were first popularized in the women’s retail market in the late 1950s. For the next decade, they were a highly requested silhouette, especially among young girls. Many considered them to be training heels because of the style’s stiletto, which is only 1 or 2 inches tall. The set is most often seen dressed in a leather material, with the heel often being replaced for a slingback strap.

Kitten heels continue to resurface in the fashion realm because they combine sophisticated styling with comfortability. In the past few years, they have spiked in popularity, appearing heavily on runway shows for top labels like Prada and Valentino.
