Kylie Jenner Demonstrates the Elegance of Patent Leather Slingbacks at Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2025 Show in Paris
Kylie Jenner was one of many stars in attendance at Chanel‘s spring 2025 haute couture show in Paris on Tuesday, and she donned a pair of sleek black patent leather slingback pumps for the occasion.
Tweed is a Chanel signature, and Jenner opted for a white ensemble crafted with the classic woolen fabric to attend the high-fashion event. She displayed a sultry spin on a tweed set with a cropped jacket and pleated miniskirt featuring a faint pattern of crisscross lines. The skirt was accessorized with draped chains featuring charms and pearls. A few black items contrasted her white set, including a boxy quilted purse, darkly-tinted sunglasses and, of course, her shoes.
Jenner looked to be wearing a pair of shoes from Chanel’s spring 2025 pre-collection, a set of 90 mm black slingback pumps made with patent calfskin. The shoes feature an almond toe and a block heel emblazoned with the interlocking C’s of the Chanel logo in gold. A horizontal line delineates the toebox from the rest of the shoe, creating a subtle version of the classic cap-toe pump design that Chanel so often showcases. The style is secured with a strap in back that wraps around the ankle, and an asymmetrical element is introduced with a horizontal strap featured on just one side of the shoe. Jenner’s footwear choices range from the bold to the understated. She showcased a different, elegant black heel when attending the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards in October, donning an angular variation of a T-strap pump — like the shoes she wore today, they featured a glossy black finish. She also stepped out in black mule heels and black loafers in 2024, proving on many occasions the usefulness of a black shoe.
