There’s no disputing that Lady Gaga is the queen of the outfit change.
The “Born This Way” pop star recently stepped out wearing three fierce looks in a single day and upped the ante over Memorial Day weekend when she doubled that number to six even more outrageous ensembles.
Out and about in New York, Mother Monster became the talk of the town as she kicked off her parade of fashionable appearances with truly glamorous knee-high sequin boots by Rochas rendered in canvas and featuring chunky architectural heels. She let the shoes take center stage with a delicate Giambattista Valli pussy-bow blouse and a vintage Chanel skirt.
The same day, Gaga opted for a houndstooth outfit straight from Ralph and Russo’s fall ’18 runway. The organza plissé jacquard crop top and high-waisted skirt paired effortlessly with peep-toe platform sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti and a top-handle leather bag by Delvaux.
Her following appearance was marked with yet another retro-inspired look — this time, a Fendi skirt suit from the designer’s fall ’18 collection. The boxy-shouldered dress proved to be equal parts smart and sexy, with peplum pleating at the hip and a midi cut just above the ankle. Gaga also wore Fendi for footwear — an elegant mixed-material slingback pump — and went for a classic leather box bag by Mark Cross.
That Sunday night, as was fitting for her destination, the “Joanne” singer was spotted on the Lower East Side in an outrageous leopard-print uniform with exaggerated shoulders and a teeny-tiny waist — a silhouette that was both feminine and ultradaring. She recycled her Mark Cross handbag from early in the day and completed the extravagant look with a pair of futuristic cat-eye sunnies.
On Memorial Day, Gaga appropriately wore a muted-hued pantsuit that still managed to attract paparazzi. The double-breasted top appeared tucked into high-waisted, wide-leg trousers over which she slung another Fendi piece — a logo-emblazoned crossbody bag. For accessories, she opted for gold hoop earrings and wore sharp structural sunglasses.
Marking her final look of the day, Gaga dressed up in head-to-toe black, with all eyes on her belted leather ensemble, which was made even more extreme with Pleaser platform boots in a lace-up silhouette and nearly 10-inch stiletto heel.
Now that’s one way to please the New York fashion scene.
